I watched the 2013 film last night cause the dad is in a tv show on Hulu(Moving) which I really like so I put this on and I wasn’t expecting to cry as much as I did

This season was weak .... 1) We see some kind of alternate version of the heroes as the nuclear war goes on. Each of the heroes seems to have a MUCH greater control over their powers. What the hell is this about!? None of the characters ever get to these levels. We see Luther get shot by a tank and it was no big deal, then moments later a person with no powers punches another version of him and he gets bloodied and injured by it (and in an episode or two someone punches him and knocks him out .... but .... a tank or a rocket didn't do squat ...a couple days later). How did Allison make people's head's explode? Everything we see otherwise is a suggestion the person follows ... but she says "blew your mind" and their heads explode? Could rumor Luther to be able to fly? What's going on here? That's a huge issue and fundamentally changes her powers. 2) Vanya doesn't remember much of anything. Ok. Luther finds her and he set out to kill her. And, decides against it ... for mysterious reasons. Ok. But, she has no idea who she is and finds someone who says he knows her. And she has NO questions to him about ... where to find her family/people. That's incredibly stupid. That's what she's wanted, and someone who may have answers shows up and she just ... doesn't follow up on her one major character motivation (other than changing the character to be more closely aligned with the actor ... which is kinda the opposite of acting ... but whatever). This is badly written. 3) What's up with Diego? He's in some asylum. People that long ago had no real exposure to superior modern fight techniques. He would pretty much be a god at fighting at that point in time, PLUS he's got super powers. How was he unable to escape the moment he got sober enough to move? Plus, his ability to change momentum and trajectory should mean he can alter punches and blocks just as easily as he alters his knives. In the quick view of the badass umbrella team he affected bullets which is WILDLY beyond his capabilities from the first season. Also, he should be playing darts or pool or even bowling for money instead of having him work as a janitor in the first season. Maybe a professional baseball player for easy money (he wouldn't even need to pitch to impact the throws). 4) The stuff going on with Allison is really poorly written. The outrage feels manufactured. It's nothing that Diego and Lila run into even though "whites only" signs would impact them as well. There's obviously also room for Ben (in Klaus' body) with the girl he's interested in to run into issues with their mixed race relationship. This makes it feel more like a gimmick or like a manipulation of the audience. It only plays a factor when it's convenient for the drama they're trying to push. This makes it less of a pervasive world building thing. Instead it feels fake if you actually think about it. 5) The homophobia they try to show feels forced. Let's start with ... Vanya is a home wrecker. There were plenty of opportunities in the first season to have even a single real story involving this kind of drama with Klaus' relationship in the first season (first season was a little dense as it was). Vanya wasn't this way in the comics, so this was just thrown in because at the time the actor who played Vanya identified as a lesbian (later as a straight male which ... again changes the character in a future season to mirror the actor ... which is the opposite of acting like a specific character ... though, representation is important the fluidity of the situation makes this seem unintentional and sloppy). Vanya met a married woman and destroyed that relationship. That's not cool. Both of the parents loved the kid and the husband seemed devoted to his wife and kind enough to take in a stray woman and house, clothe, and feed her ... for MONTHS. And, in return, Vanya came on to the wife and tried to take her away. The wife had some sort of ... running away plan. This didn't seem to be reinforced by relationship struggles (he was generally kind, generous, hard working ... no fidelity issues, sweet with the kid, generous with strangers). The way homophobia was represented in that season with Klaus seemed much more legit but barely touched on. Klaus was an adult man of about 30 hitting on someone who just turned 18 and that has its own potential problems. 6) Luther felt like an afterthought. He got basically nothing to do. Some daddy issues he was working through. A scene or two (in the whole season) about Allison. Wouldn't it have been cool if they showed the superhuman muscle power and demonstrated he has the ability to shout super loud when he was yelling in the rain? That scene with the random homeless person who starts yelling for Allison with him is outrageously hilarious (absolutely loved it and glad they showed it twice). Think about what Diego went through in the season. Now think about what Allison went through. Ok, now Vanya. Cool, now think about the Klaus stuff with Ben and the cult and the rest. Ok, and Five was all over the place with the mysteries in the season. And then ... Luther got BBQ and did a couple underground boxing fights. Pretty lame. In what way did Luther grow that season? He yelled at his father for the first time? Is that the sum total of his growth? Feels like they could have let Luther and Allison have a relationship and then use that interracial relationship as a catalyst for the preaching they wanted to do about racism (which for some reason never touched the mexican character or the indian character running around in the same town ... which is LAME). 7) The "oh no I used my powers" stuff from Allison is really lame. If they wanted to talk about how her core power steals agency from people and is really a form of slavery that would be something. Instead it's just .... nonsense. I understand that she enjoyed not cheating her way through life to get things. That's fine. It isn't binary though and it doesn't need to be all or nothing. Also, the scene with the coffee where she forces a guy to scald himself was ... odd. It was cruel and malicious and that's not a thing her character has EVER shown otherwise. It was poor writing to give an excuse for there to be negative associations with her using her powers ... because her powers are too powerful and would basically solve all of their problems. 8) How the hell did Reginald find everyone? He instantly communicated with secrete agents with MI6 and the KGB and the CIA and potentially other big groups. He had to have some kind of details about each person and go over those details with the person on the other end of the phone. There are no computers and these people don't just .... ALL know each other. So, they would need to go through paper files of EVERYONE in their agencies to figure out if this was one of theirs .... for each organization ... and how was that possible? And, how would they figure out where Vanya was staying with no bills and nothing in her name? And, how can he do all of that but ... not be able to find a super intelligent chimpanzee running around? So dumb. 9) it's pretty cool that Klaus is going through a whole journey to learn how to use his powers. Right? Slow, intentional experimentation. What about Vanya? She's got no idea she has powers. And, if she tries to use them at all ... the right things happen .... Push back thousands of gallons of water and leave a little kid in place ... sure. Bring him back to life? That may as well happen. Stop bullets coming at her? Check. It's lame that there's no journey of discovery here. They at least TRIED to show her discovering her powers in the first season. The stuff in the second season with Vanya's powers is badly written. 10) why would they use a .22LR AR-7 survival rifle as a sniper rifle? That's ... so dumb. I mean, sure, oddly specific complaint. But ... jesus. Come on. They only used it because they wanted something that would separate into pieces and would look "right" to people who know nothing about guns. It fires a tiny round. They were notoriously inaccurate. They weren't known for having particularly good triggers. While it was semi-automatic the barrel wasn't robust enough to be used effectively to suppress targets if needed. Great as a lightweight super compact item that fits into a small space and hopefully is never needed for pilots and the like. The agency can go anywhere in time to get a weapon, and this is what they chose? 11) Vanya caused a doomsday, VERY intentionally killed pogo and their mom, then started another doomsday, THEN killed Ben who was already dead. I mean ... maybe it's time for her to go. I don't think trading an already dead Ben for Vanya was a good trade. 12) between episode 9 and 10 they seem to have ... forgotten what happened or Sissy is an idiot (both seem plausible). The rifle went off and then the husband (who had a name, I'm sure) was shot in the chest even though the rifle was pointed in the other direction. Then shortly after, in the next episode, Sissy says that her son threw her father like Vanya did with the police. The father obviously wasn't thrown (he didn't really go anywhere). And, it seemed pretty obvious he was shot ... on account of the hole and the blood ... which the police officer didn't get. I don't want to type anymore ... this was a disappointment.

The season was sloppy and not well thought out. The social commentary on racism and homophobia were clumsy, heavy handed, and preachy (which makes it feel forced and self congratulatory). The usage of powers was inconsistent. The fight choreography was typically underwhelming (Luther got one good fight, Diego got a couple). Most of the drama was from the poorly done social commentary. The world building about the time organization creates more problems and questions than it answers. The first season was a LOT better. I think this may be a decent draft for the second season but it needs a lot of rewriting.

I just watched this movie and I admit that I found it quite boring at first but the movie just keeps getting better and the ending is simply beautiful, I loved the Plot Twist, I loved the Creativity that the Production had with the Designs of the characters IF Ryan Reynolds acts so well with that girl, I was moved in the end in so many ways, I really didn't understand why the critics didn't like this movie.

I thought the First Omen was pretty good for a new horror film but its nowhere near as good as The Omen and Damien Omen II Omen 3 was ok especially Sam Neill as Damien but it seemed rushed and anti climatic and didnt follow through with the predicted armageddon of the first two. I thought Omen 3 should have been Damiens college years,Omen 4 Damien running Thorn Industries and getting into politics. Omen 5 Running and becoming President. Omen 666 Armageddon and Christs return and the battle between good & evil. So for Damien to go from 13 in Omen II to 32 in Omen 3 was dissappointing and Im not a fan of remakes. But The First Omen was better than expected.

Isn't it odd that Immortan didn't went crazy looking for the disappeared Little D? I also thought the Teddy Bear would provoke something to Dementus, or he would say something about it. Although I liked the movie, the environment and pace didn't feel as Fury Road's. And some scenes were clearly soundstaged, which took me out momentarily. So, to me, it didn't reach the same level.

I really enjoyed this movie, but theres no way in hell they could've caught up with them in all that traffic with a major head start. I mean...by the time they figure out they aren't in the bank, they are almost finished with the heist.
